1958 Martin D-21 Guitar

1958 Martin D-21 Guitar
Neck set, frets, bone nut and saddle by Dave Musselwhite, former Martin shop foreman and one of the great Martin repairmen and experts in the country today. Dave also replaced the bridge with an old, long saddle Brazilian rosewood factory original, reinstalled correct period Kluson tuners from the 50's, as well as old -21 style bridge and end pins. All else original; NO cracks, refinishing, overspray, etc. Some finish wear on bottom of heel, 2 small areas of wear on the back. Some minor signs of pickwear on the top.
The repair work and setup are perfect, plays like a dream. Beautiful tone; big, warm, and balanced sound that mics well. Replacement hard case. Beautiful quartered brazilian. Not boomy at all, the clarity of an 18, and the resonance of a 28. A killer bluegrass guitar. A chance to get into a collectible vintage postwar Brazilian Martin for under 10k.
